The stakeholders came from Uwoukwu, Adokpa, Okwudu and Okpokpo Council Wards in Oju Local Government Area.
The leader, Hon. Ire Matthew Uwokwu, speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, stated their visit was to commend Senator Moro for the variety of outstanding work he is doing all over Benue South Senatorial District since assumption of office as a Senator.
The stakeholders thanked Senator Moro especially for the ongoing Nine-kilometre Obusa/Ogori/Uwokwu road, a road they stated had been deserted for decades. They additionally appreciated the Senator for his promise to construct a bridge across the Oru stream, which has been the biggest impediment on the road.
They guaranteed the Distinguished Senator of their support always, pointing out that in the Senator they found a father and leader.
In his response, Comrade Moro thanked the stakeholders for their visit. He stated his being in politics was to serve the populace and not for any personal interest.
He spoke of his great relationship with the Igede people, which, in accordance to him, transcends beyond politics but on a personal basis.
In some other development, the EmaK’Idoma Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Benue State Command, paid a courtesy visit to the Senator.
The group, led by its Chairman, Mr Enenche Gabriel, and Secretary, Godwin Sami, stated their visit to the People’s Senator was to identify with and congratulate him on his well-merited victory in the 2019 election.
Responding, Senator Moro thanked the group for finding time to visit and congratulate him. He stated he was so proud of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, specifically with their numerous efforts in combating crimes and criminalities, and the myriads of security challenges in the country.
He advised them to be diligent and devoted to their service to their fatherland.
In a similar vein, Apa LGA Wards PDP Chairmen and Secretaries were in the Senator’s house for a courtesy visit.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairmen, Hon. Atungwu, from Edikwu Ward 2, stated they were in the Senator’s house to thank him for the excellent representation he is presenting at the National Assembly.
They stated Senator Moro is making them proud in Abuja and pledged to continually support him. The Secretaries, on their part, stated they were so impressed with the Senator’s achievements, they promised to continue to be with him all the time.
Responding, Senator Moro stated he felt very honoured by the visit and the commendation. He stated he won’t disappoint the people of Apa because of the Confidence they have in him.
He stated he would continue to entice projects to the land, promising to facilitate the building of a Health Care Centre in the LGA in 2022. He stated that electrification works would begin soon in some communities in the LGA.
