HON. FABIAN OGBECHE declares curfew in Okuku, Abachor, and Amaje Communities as he Suspends commercial motorcycling activities in Yala LGA

The Executive Chairman of Yala Local Government Council, Hon. Fabian O. Ogbeche has imposed a curfew within Okuku, Abachor and Imaje communities in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State, to control the escalation of crisis as a result of the widespread violence rocking these communities over Cyclist Union disagreement.

With this notice, there shall be no human and vehicular movement from 6:00 pm to 6: 00 am beginning from 10th May 2021 till further notice.

More so, the Executive Chairman has approved the suspension of commercial motorcycling activities in the Yala Local Government Area henceforth.

Residents of these communities and operators of commercial motorcyclists are by this notice advised to observe the curfew and adhere to the suspension as security agents have been mandated to arrest anybody who flouts the order.
