3 ABU students win the global cloud, AI competition Award

Three students Amedu Belo University have made Nigerians proud as they bagged the most prestigious educational Award from tough competition.

Kabir Bala, the university’s vice-chancellor, disclosed this during the 2019/2020 Huawei Nigeria ICT Competition Award and inauguration of the 2021/2022 launch ceremony in Zaria 

The ABU University students win the Global Cloud and Artificial Intelligence Competition for Nigeria after beating 150,000 students drawn from 2000 universities in eighty-two countries.

Six ABU students participated, and three of them:

“The students are Dahir Muhammad, Mustafa Jimoh, and Khalifa Muhammad earned the grand prize in the cloud and artificial intelligence at the international final,”

“Hamza Atabor, Emmanuel Abba, and Hamza Beira, earned first prize in Network Track Globally,” he said.

They won the final for Nigeria in Global and Artificial Intelligence after defeating all other 2000 contestants.

He said that the relationship between ABU and Huawei Technologies began in August 2018.
