17 KILLED AS GUNMEN SET HOUSES ON FIRE IN BENUE COMMUNITY

No few than 17 people including women and children were killed in two separate attacks on Benue Communities by suspected Fulani militias.

The suspected Fulani militias launched an attack on Tse Agbem at 3 pm on Sunday thereby killing innocent people in an unprovoked attack.

Two-person were attacked and killed along Agbanu – Naka road.

The Gwer west local government chairperson Grace Achabo confirmed the attack and described it as unprovoked.

She expressed sadness over continuous attacks on his people by Fulani herders.

It was reported that inhabitants of Tse Agbem had deserted their Community to take refuge in Naka and Aondoanna Town.

In Swift’s response, the Benue State Government had deployed soldiers to the affected area to restore peace but residents are seen fleeing their homes for fear of further attack.
